A woman in a bread store. the doorway has no steps and appears to be in the middle of the wall. Granada is Nicaragua's most famous city. founded in 1524 it is one of best examples of Spanish colonial architecture in the Americas. .it has a varied history including its almost total destruction by filibuster William Walker in a childlike tantrum. Today it is a popular tourist town though retains a strong sense of its own identity.
